Supanova Cosplay Festival!
Saturday 27th November 2010 RNA Showgrounds, Brisbane |

|
Welcome to The Supanova Cosplay Festival!
The seasons keep a changin' and as the long winter comes to a close we think it's high time you got your cosplay on! Maybe it's time to dust off the ol' Plug Suit from 'Evangelion', vac-form some new Femtrooper armour, or start work on a piece from a hot new Anime series like 'Vampire Knight'. No matter what outfit you choose, there is one HUGE new party where you can show it off: The Supanova Cosplay Festival! For one day only on November 27th, Brisbane will host Cosplayers from all corners of the nation. They will gather in Brisneyland to show off their outfits, compete in the Supanova Cosplay Festival Competition, meet one of their favourite anime stars, and bear witness to the Championship Final of the Madman National Cosplay Championships! It's Australia's biggest cosplay competition!
The Madman Championship Final and the Supanova Cosplay Festival Competition will be hosted by the hilarious John Robertson, Australia's best-loved Cosplay host and an internationally renowned comedian. Fresh off the back of an epic run of gigs at Scotland's famous Edinburgh Comedy Festival, John will bring his prodigious talents (and hopefully puppets) to the Supanova Cosplayers in Brisbane.
In between watching and competing in the Cosplay, festivalgoers can enjoy a great selection of vendors, side events (including Cosplay Chess and costuming panels), and the opportunity to meet one of the stars of Vampire Knight! Not to mention a massive bunch of cosplayer comrades to hang out and share the fun with!
Everybody knows that the Supanova family loves Cosplay, and we know that you love it too... in fact, we love it so much we wanted to throw it a party.
Can't wait to see you there to celebrate Cosplay with us!

Vampire Knight Special Guest Supa-Star!
As we have intimated, The Supanova Cosplay Festival will be playing host to one of the stars of the hit Anime series Vampire Knight! The anime follows Yuki Cross, a student at Cross Academy. The school has two groups of students, members of the Day Class and members of the Night Class. Yuki Cross, who is the adoptive daughter of the headmaster, and Zero Kiryu, an older student that comes from a family of vampire hunters, are the Guardians of the school. It is their job to protect the Day Class from the secret of the school, that the students in the Night Class are vampires!
Direct from playing Sayori Wakaba in Vampire Knight, It is with the utmost pleasure that we'd like to announce Stephanie Sheh as our special guest for our huge day of Cosplay in November. Her credits include such roles as Hinata in Naruto, Orihime in Bleach and Kinon in Gurren Lagan, to say nothing of her guest appearances as "Mini Olivia Munn" on G4 TV's Attack of the Show and voicing characters in Bioshock 2 and Resident Evil 5!
This is your chance to come along and meet Stephanie, talk to her about her work and even try to get a scoop on whats in the pipeline!
