Supanova Guests

Not sure who's coming to town this November? Jump on over to the website to see the complete Supa-Star guest list.

Brisbane: Many Supa-fans will already be aware that Brisbane's RNA Showgrounds are undergoing extensive remodeling. Check out this page which also has our Event Guide linked to it for all the info.

Adelaide: We are so excited to be concluding our 10th Anniversary celebrations by holding our first ever expo in Adelaide! Check out this page for Adelaide's very first Event Guide!

We're also pleased to bring you, not one, but two awesome musical treats in both Brisbane and Adelaide. Both James Marsters and Gareth David-Lloyd (with his band Blue Gillespie) have separate ticketed concerts over the course of the weekend! For more information on these events check out the following links: Spike Spectacular & Blue Gillespie.

We hope that's helped bring you up to speed and we look forward to seeing you the next two weekends.

The internationally renowned concert tour featuring the music of Japanese video game composer Nobuo Uematsu and conducted by Grammy Award winner Arnie Roth comes to Adelaide on Saturday 24 November at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

Featuring Nobuo Uematsu and Arnie Roth as soloists with the orchestra (Uematsu on keyboards and Roth on violin), the program commemorates 25 years of great FINAL FANTASY music with selections from throughout the entire series!

D-Day is an annual Brisbane event that is our chance to build bridges between the creators and the fans, as well as opening pathways for new and aspiring creators to meet and interact with film and TV industry professionals.

Sadly due to unforseen issues, neither Larry Cohen nor Felicia Day will be able to attend D-Day (9/11/12). Felicia will now arrive at Supanova on Saturday and will be with us for the full tour. However, Larry Cohen is no longer able to attend our event and so we bid him farewell from the line-up until a new opportunity presents itself.

The revised schedule for D-Day now includes:

1. B-MOVIE MANIACS: explore the A to Z of B-Movie making with these professionals! [1:15-2:30 PM]
Genre movie expert Dr Mark Ryan in conversation with:
Entertainer CASSANDRA PETERSON, aka Elvira, Mistress of the Dark
Director / Producer MICHAEL SPIERIG (Daybreakers)

2. LET'S SING... THERE'S ZOMBIES OUTSIDE! Staged reading of a new screenplay seeks feedback and… Brains! [2:45 - 3:45pm]
Let's Sing... There's Zombies Outside! is a zombie musical feature film created by writers Candice Deere and Mark Deere and developed through the Screen Queensland Writers' Room initiative. Actors will read from the script and give D-Day's audience a sneak peek of the new screenplay. Brisbane-based producer Glenn Wilkinson and the creative team invite the audience to get involved in the production by giving feedback on how to make this the best zombie movie possible.

3. WEB SERIES MAVENS: Creating a hit web series [4:00 - 4:15]
Hoodlum's Nick and Lara in conversation with:
Felicia Day's producer on THE FLOG, Brit Weisman
Official Star Trek Continues & Fallout: Nuka Break web series' Vic Mignogna.

D-Day Starts at 1pm on Friday and the Show floor is also open for those folks who want to get a head start on the whole weekend!

The Friday night Opening Ceremony is a fun way to kick off your Supanova weekend, but its not the only thing happening at Supanova after dark!

In both Brisbane and Adelaide we have a heap of fun stuff to do on the Friday night, as well as allowing you time to get autograph and photograph tokens before Saturday.

The Cosplay Theatres doors open at 5.45pm, then at 6.05pm we have the Opening Ceremony, a fun chance to get a sneak preview of some of our Supa-Stars appearing over the weekend.

At 7.00pm we have the Charity Auction with special guest, Vic Mignogna, then at 7.30pm we will be screening Naruto Shippuden the Movie 3: The Will of Fire.

Meanwhile at 7.00pm in the Supanova Seminar Rooms, comic-book master storyteller and artist Howard Chaykin will be running a MasterClass on the finer details of comic books.

If thats not enough for you, at 7.00pm in the FilmInk Seminar Rooms, we have the Potterverse Q&A with Tom Felton, Alfred Enoch and Chris Rankin before heading over for the  Harry Potter Trio Photo session at 8.00pm, the only time during the weekend they'll be doing so!

Remember though, only weekend (Supa Fan) pass can get into our Opening Night activities and in Adelaide its the only time on Friday you can buy signature and photo-op tokens prior the weekend.

Have you ever imagined a place where Vulcans and vampires get along (other than Supanova)? Where wizards and wookies can be themselves? Welcome to Comic-Con San Diego.

What started as a fringe comic book convention for 500 fans has grown into the pop culture event of the year that influences every form of entertainment, now attended by over 140,000 strong.

COMIC-CON EPISODE IV: A FAN'S HOPE - a film by Morgan Spurlock explores this amazing cultural phenomenon by following the lives of five attendees as they descend upon the ultimate geek mecca at San Diego Comic-Con 2010.

COMIC-CON EPISODE IV: A FAN'S HOPE will be available for sale at the Madman booth at both Brisbane and Adelaide Supanova Expos!

And don't forget that the Grand Final of the Madman National Cosplay Championship is happening on the Saturday of the Brisbane Expo (10/11/12)! Come and see the best Cosplayers in the country on stage, competing for the prize of a lifetime!
