D-Day is Go & the Darkness is Falling... Again!
VAL KILMER JOINS D-DAY DIALOGUE Kicking off D-Day at 1.40pm on Friday as only a star of over 80 films can do, Val Kilmer will join other directors, producers, writers and developers in going behind the scenes and speaking about his upcoming maiden helming of a film, MARK TWAIN AND MARY BAKER EDDY, after having been in front of the camera so often.
There may even be a further surprise in store if Val is able to get his way. Needless to say keep watching our Facebook and Twitter feeds for up to the minute updates. Further programming includes...
SHOW ME THE MAGIC Go behind the scenes Hollywood blockbuster, WOLVERINE, with Cathy Henkel, the director of SHOW ME THE MAGIC, a new documentary about Australia’s living legend, cinematographer Don McAlpine. Inheritance
It began with Eragon... It ends with Inheritance...
Not so very long ago, Eragon - Shadeslayer, Dragon Rider – was nothing more than a poor farm boy, and his dragon, Saphira, only a blue stone in the forest. Now, the wait of an entire civilization rests on their shoulders.
Long months of training and battle have brought victories and hope, but they have also brought heartbreaking loss. And still, the real battle lies ahead: they must confront Galbatorix. When they do, they will have to be strong enough to defeat him. And if they cannot, no one can. There will be no second chances.
The Rider and his dragon have come farther than anyone dared to imagine. But can they topple the evil king and restore justice to Alagaesia? And if so, at what cost?
On the 9th of November Inheritance is published and the burning questions asked by fans around the world will finally be answered – all will be revealed.
The final battle begins.

Immortals!
Visionary director Tarsem Singh and the producers of the epic "300", Mark Canton and Gianni Nunnari along with Ryan Kavanaugh (The Fighter), unleash an epic tale of treachery, vengeance and destiny in Immortals, a stylish and spectacular 3-D action adventure. As a power-mad king razes ancient Greece and threatens to destroy mankind, a heroic young villager rises up against him in a thrilling quest as timeless as it is powerful.
Tarsem Singh's previous films "The Cell" and "The Fall" were both visually stunning films with complex, intriguing story-lines. "Immortals" looks to be continuing that trend with a fantastic cast including Mickey Rourke (Iron Man 2), Henry Cavill (The New Superman!), Kellan Lutz (The Twilight Saga), John Hurt (the Harry Potter series), Aussie Supa-Star Isabel Lucas (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), Stephen Dorff (Blade), Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire) and Luke Evans (Clash of the Titans).
This incredible looking film opens November 24th all around Australia and should be experienced in eye-popping 3-D!
For your chance to win tickets to an exclusive preview screening of IMMORTALS in your capital city, head to Facebook.com/UniversalPicturesAU to enter.”

Madman National Cosplay Championship GRAND FINAL!
It's the biggest event of the Brisbane Supanova Expo, the Grand Final of the Madman National Cosplay Championship, and it's time to meet the 5 state finalists and 3 wildcard entrants for 2011 whose costumes will no doubt be out of this world!
Brisbane - Melanie
I’m really looking forward to seeing the amazing costumes the finals brings out this year! The past years’ have been phenomenal.
Melbourne - Giorgia
More than anything, I’m looking forward to meeting other cosplayers and forging new friendships in the spirit of competition and, above all, fun!
Sydney - Wakaleo
I want to do my very best in the Finals, as I am doing my dream cosplay, Judge Gabranth!
Perth - Risachantag & Rallamajoop
While making the costume is always going to be the part that takes 90% of the time and effort, the longer we’ve been in cosplay, the more we’ve come to love the performance side of the show too.
Adelaide - Miss Olli
I’m really looking forward to the atmosphere over in Brisbane. I also heard it’ll be warm weather compared to Avcon which is on the middle of winter, I’m really excited for the warmer sunny weather!
Wildcard - Endliss Blaze
Despite our relatively short history in the cosplay world, we decided to give the MNCC a shot this year after being greatly inspired by the magnificence of last year’s finalists.
Wildcard - Twinklee & Velithya*
*Due to personal circumstances, Twinklee and Velithya have decided to no longer compete in the finals.
Wildcard - Desert Rose
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone's costumes. I hope I can put on a beautiful and memorable performance.
Good luck to all of them!
